Warm Clothing Drive
Through out the months of December (2006) and January, with the help of all of our clients, Ritual collected boxes full of warm clothing items and blankets. On the coldest week of the year, we were able to supply these items to the Portland Rescue Mission who provide services for homeless men, women, and children. The Portland Rescue Mission is more than just a shelter and soup kitchen, the Mission offers the means to transition individuals into new lives armed with education, recovery skills, and spiritual grace. Royal Family Kid Camp
My husband and I volunteered as camp counselors last year and had a life-changing experience. For this year's camp, I got involved in the planning process and was awed and inspired by the generosity of everyone I talked to. Over 80 people donated everything from dress up clothes, to art supplies, to clothes and shoes and of course cash for these very deserving children. As just a small idea of the kindness that was shown, Kim and I had a crazy idea to try to get 34 backpacks filled with school supplies sponsored, and only had two weeks to do it in. That's $850, no small task... well, in just a week and a half, each of those backpacks were sponsored, with many people saying "I wish I had known...". If you could have seen these kids walking around with their little back packs on. It truly brought tears to our eyes. In addition to the donations, many volunteers came from our Ritual family. From our staff we had Kim and her husband who came as counselors, Javaise was part of the set up crew and Venis baked an amazing three tiered cake that was truly tasty art. We also had several clients volunteer as relief counselors, check-in people, aunties and birthday party organizers. Camp was made even more special because so many of you were involved. We have big plans for the future of Royal Family Kids' Camp, and if you'd like to hear more, we'd love to share with you or visit http://www.rfkc.org.

Creating Confidence
The Creating Confidence drive was a huge success this year. We would like to thank all of you who donated. We collected lots of great items that will be greatly appreciated by Monika's House and the Domestic Violence Resource Center (DVRC). The DVRC provides women with the resources to get out of, and get back on their feet after leaving an abusive relationship. Monika's House is the only shelter in Washington County and serves up to 350 women each year, while the 24-hour crisis hot line receives 2000 calls each year. Helping to give these women the confidence to move in a different direction is why we at Ritual continue to support the DVRC. If you look good, you feel more confident. Help us help them, and remember that domestic violence isn't ever far from home. For more information visit: http://www.dvrc-or.org/domestic/violence/resources/C35/

Locks of Love
The Share Your Hair event was held in October and we made sure that we could be there to donate our time for such an important cause. The event was held to receive hair donations that would be used to make wigs for children that had hair loss from a medical condition. With 105.1 The Buzz sponsoring the event the day was a huge success. For more information on Locks of Love visit: http://www.locksoflove.org/

Royal family kids camp - clothing drive dress up stockings Creating Confidence
Those of you who have spent a little time at Ritual, know that if there is one thing that is near and dear to my heart (besides my family), it is Royal Family Kids' Camp, a camp for abused children between the ages of 7-11 that are in foster care. For more information visit: http://www.rfkc.org

Victoria Roberts Cut-a-thon
Victoria Roberts was diagnosed with aplastic anemia. Aplastic anemia causes the body to destroy its own bone marrow, the substance that produces white and red blood cells. People who get the disease don't have enough white blood cells to fight off germs, and they can die if they don't get a transplant of healthy marrow. She would need a transplant. Since the families’ medical insurance would not cover the whole procedure, we decided to have a cut-a-thon to help raise money for her surgery. We raised $2000.00 in a day thanks to the generosity of our clients who were willing to donate big for their haircuts. Creating Confidence
Thanks to our great clients, we had one of our best years of donations. If I didn’t have such a large truck, we would have needed to make several trips to unload the over 10 boxes of goods to Monica’s House. Thanks again and start saving for next year. For more information on Monica’s house visit their website at: http://www.dvrc-or.org/domestic/violence/resources/C35/

Project Back to School
The Salvation Army - Working in this industry, we all know that if your hair looks good, than you feel good. No where is this more true than in school aged kids. Good self esteem is an essential part of growing up happy and making good choices. That's why we believe so strongly in the Salvation Army's "Back-to-School" program. Ritual has donated 50 haircuts to local low-income children for the last two years, so that they can start the new school year off with a new haircut.

Ronald McDonald House
In December of 2004 we took a fresh Christmas tree and the supplies to craft homemade ornaments and snacks to the Ronald McDonald House. We helped residents make and decorate a tree for the holidays.

Locks of Love Locks of Love - Ongoing
This is ongoing through out the year. Anyone who has at least 10" of hair to cut off and is willing to donate it to Locks of Love, can get their hair cut at no cost. We package, box and mail the hair to locks of Love.

Beauty Product Drive for Monika's House
In the summer of 2004 we held a beauty product drive encouraging our clients to bring in new or gently used beauty products and styling tools that they didn't want any more. All 10 boxes full were donated to a local women's shelter. This shelter, Monika's House is supported by the Domestic Violence Resource Center in Washington County.

Habitat for Humanity Willamette West Habitat for Humanity
We were anticipating being treated as a bunch of girls... being handed paintbrushes or brooms, but this time we didn't get off so lightly! We were put to work putting up chainlink fencing, building scaffolding, putting plywood and shingles on a roof, and putting on siding. We were hot, sweaty, dirty and sore after a full day on the Women Build Habitat site. They haven't scared us away yet... we'll be going back!
